Different Kinds of Small Talk

You are almost all the way through and I am actually impressed that you read the list on the prior pages. As long as you take action in the challenge given to you to go out and engage in conversation with people on a regular basis, everyone from family to strangers, you will grow and master small talk very quickly. Small talk is one of those things that are very simple to do, but very hard to get good at. Some people are born with talent in speaking, others like me had to put in the time to learn, and as I put in the time to learn I actually found out that there are different kinds of small talk that we will be diving into now!

I have touched on a couple of these before in the previous chapters, so now I’m merely going to reiterate and go into more detail about what each of the different kinds involves and a little about how to implement them. Do not forget that people are all different and learn differently, so what I might say here might not directly work for you, so get actually experience and do your own research to find your own strategies. These are simply what works for me and most of my students!
